Great news! Once we've had a chat, you simply need to pay a £200 deposit and sign a contract within 14 days to ensure your date is reserved.
Can we meet you?
Sure! It's always great to meet prospective clients before booking, just get in touch to arrange a coffee. I'm located at J28 M1, and can usually find somewhere handy to meet.
What payment options do you have?
All major credit & debit cards are accepted, with payment being taken through a secure online portal. Bank transfer, PayPal, and cash can also be arranged, if you've been stashing notes under the mattress.
How would you describe your style?
I'd be best described as a natural light documentary style wedding photographer, with a light and airy feel to the images. I use as little flash as possible - generally only once the lights dim on the dance floor.
Where do you cover?
My standard pricing covers all costs for weddings in the Midlands, Lincolnshire, and Yorkshire. I cover weddings across the UK and Europe (I'd love to go further still - Maldives wedding, anyone?), and will price these up depending on location.
Do you do group shots?
Absolutely - these are always a favourite with the family, and sorts out Christmas presents for years to come! I strongly recommend no more than 10 group shots due to time restraints, and will require some obliging helpers to round up the guests.
How long does it take to get our pictures?
I always look to get a 'sneak peak' image over to you the day after the wedding. I always aim to have your final images with you within 6 weeks, however this can extend up to 10 weeks during busy periods.
How many pictures do we get?
I'll start out by saying I'm a huge advocate of "quality over quantity", and as such, don't fill your album with 'filler' pictures to get the numbers up. As such, I generally deliver between 350-500 images from full day coverage.
When is payment due?
The initial deposit is required at the point of booking, with the remaining balance required 1 calendar month before the big day.
Can you remove things from the pictures?
All images are hand edited by myself, where I remove small blemishes, and make adjustments & corrections to fit my style. I keep the pictures as close to a 'true reflection' of the day as possible, and as such refrain from making significant manipulations to people or items.
Are you insured?
Yes - I have professional indemnity & public liability insurance with Hiscox. Certificates can be provided to the venue if needed.
What happens if you fall ill?
I have a 100% attendance record, and it'll take a lost limb or some equally as drastic to change that! Should the unimaginable happen, I'm part of a network of professional wedding photographers who arrange emergency cover. I'll ensure a photographer with a similar style to my own is there to cover your day.
Do you need feeding on the day?
It's not essential, but a hot meal is always appreciated, as weddings are generally 10+ hour days for me. If an additional meal is not an option or simply too expensive, I'll pop off site for a short while to pick up a sandwich.
Are you happy working with videographers?
Sure! I'd just ask for their contact details beforehand, so we can best understand how each other works - I can also recommend excellent videographer's I've previously worked with.
Can you cover both of us getting ready?
Potentially, but this really depends on where you're both getting ready - and isn't guaranteed (as times do slip!). If you're looking to get pictures of the both of you getting ready, I offer the option of adding a second photographer.
What camera stuff do you use?
I use Sony's top end professional A9 bodies, along with Zeiss Batis lenses. Having tried everything that Fuji, Canon, and Nikon have to offer, I find these to be by far the best kit to capture your day with. Significant and plentiful kit is with me on the day in case anything breaks.
How do you keep our pictures safe?
All images are written to dual memory cards so there's an instant backup in case of memory card failure. Once home, your images are backed up on 3 separate drives, across 2 locations to give the 'gold standard' of image backups.
Are you okay with guests taking pictures?
This one is totally up to you! I always recommend an 'unplugged' ceremony and a bit of privacy when doing the formal shots, but there's no 'one size fits all' here.
